After the "Repeal of Legal Entities of Public Law and Public Benefit Enterprises of Municipalities" of Law 5056/2023, our library once again belongs to the Municipality of Orestiada.

The Library aims to encourage reading, to create future friends of the book, aesthetic and social education, entertainment and stimulation of the imagination as well as the development of the research and critical spirit.
Since 2006, the Public Information Center has also been operating in the library area, consisting of three H/Ys with the ability to navigate the Internet, search for information in electronic databases, access to the library catalog by its users, with the aim of familiarizing them with the library , new technologies and access to information services.
It has over 27,000 volumes in its collection.
